Name: "Canadian" Rob Williams
Rank: Pvt
Age: 22

Family/Friends in Vietnam:
1) Friend’s Father –  Huey Crew Chief/Door gunner

Reenacting Background: I’ve been reenacting for about 5 years now. For World War 2 I portray Canadian and Russian, and for Viet-Nam, I also reenact Viet-Minh, and Viet Cong Main Force

4th Cav Background: I joined to participate in living history events, which, in my opinion, are the ultimate purpose of reenacting. While I am involved in Viet-Cong reenacting for tactical battles, I wanted to teach rather than just have fun burning blanks.
Personally I portray a Canadian volunteer to the US army. I hope to raise awareness of Viet-Nam as an international war. Australia, New Zealand, South Korea all officially sent troops and aid, while many Canadians (though not officially involved) crossed south to enlist. It is estimated that more Canadians enlisted in the US army to fight in Viet-Nam than Americans who fled to Canada to avoid service. One Canadian even earned the Congressional Medal of Honor.
