Recently I started representing the First World War as the under dog of that war, German Army Infantry.  Over the past few years I started becoming more and more interested in the Vietnam War.  In the fall of 2004 friends and I decided to form this unit and portray my fathers unit.  Out side of the American Revolution and the American Civil War, I believe that the Vietnam War, the 1960’s and early 1970’s to be the largest period of civil change, upheaval and unrest in our nations history.  I enjoy doing this thoroughly, and by doing so I hope to honor my father and each and every Vietnam Veteran, in addition to receiving a greater understand of what went on over there and what it was like from day to day.  As well as to educate the general public of the basic truths of the Vietnam War and especially what the men and women who fought it went through from day to day.

Name: Mark Prestianni
Rank: Corporal
Age: 22

Friends and Family who served: My father served in D 1/4 Cav. 1st ID the unit we portray 67-68.  My uncle, my fathers older brother, was in the Army Reserves but was not deployed.  My cousin was in the Air Force during the War.  My late friend Maurice Whitlock served in the Army Combat Engineers in Vietnam.

I started doing Civil War living history at the age of 12 or 13.  By 15 I had started Reenacting with a unit.  I stopped doing Civil War Reenacting when I was 17.  I started doing WWII Reenacting when I was 18 and have done various different impressions from this period since.  Currently, I reenact the U.S. Army Infantry and the German Army Infantry.
